Today, on World Adherence Day, led by the World Heart Federation, we pause to reflect that in heart failure, better adherence leads to better outcomes.
It is estimated that 30% to 50% of heart failure patients in Europe are nonadherent to heart failure medications [1]. In a condition where health status can change rapidly, even small lapses can lead to serious consequences, including decompensation episodes that lead to hospitalization. Yet for heart failure patients, adherence goes beyond taking medication. It also means staying consistent with daily routines, monitoring symptoms, and recognizing early warning signs.
At FORESEE, we are working to offer heart failure patients a remote patient monitoring platform that will ease the burden of daily disease management by:
- simplifying monitoring of multiple parameters through a single 5-minutes daily measurement,
- supporting routine adherence with an easy-to-use system,
- empowering patients to self-manage their condition under physician guidance,
- and enabling earlier data-informed interventions
With our solution, we aim to contribute to advance adherence in heart failure remote patient monitoring, since missing an early sign can mean missing the opportunity to act in time and make a difference.
